On a Maxxis Crossmark Exception tyre. Several small (5-10mm) tears in a one 40x15mm area on the side-wall. Put some duct tape in to get me home but it there a long term and durable repair solution?

Don't fancy the £25 for a new tyre.

some people swear by stitching it up with dental floss.

    Personally I'd cough the £25.

Would you trust a DIY fix at 30mph on a rocky decent miles from home? 😉

Seen it done (sewing up with dental floss) I'd agree with Jerome and sofatester

Try taking the tyre off and slipping a old toothpaste tube on the inside of the wall. Worked for me as i am a tight arse and has been like it for over 6 months riding the surrey hills

Lucky it was a cheap tyre…

tbh I've 3 2.4 Nobby Nics that I've superglued and patched various sidewall tears.
