If I ride that, will I get stuck in other peoples lives, trying to right wrongs and all the while struggle to return to my own time and body, with my only real friend being a hologram of man who is actually dead? Because I’m not sure if tat is a risk I’m willing to take.

A quantum is an extremely small unit of measurement, so I reckon it’s been well described.
