After the third succesive rim-side puncture I’m guessing my current (plastic) rim tape isn’t up to cratch. I’ve checked for loose spokes and they seem fine. Someone mentioned “ballistic” rim tape, never heard of it before and unsure where to get or if it’s worthwhile. Any advice appreciated

never had an issue using velox stuff. The other option would be to use a Stans rim strip and a bit of solution!

    Cheers, Velox it is.

It’s a shame the rim tape Merlin suggested I buy when they made my wheels was so shite. But I guess they weren’t to know my most recent puncture would coincide with my CO2 pump failing AND my mini pump deciding to output less air than a mosquito fart 😥

I always just use a couple of wraps of insulation tape, never let me down.
