I swapped out the front end of my Spot at the weekend for a rigid fork and 650b front wheel and I have to say it’s awesome. Not sure why I haven’t done this sooner. It’s perfect for the local dry forest single track and Swinley’s new trails.
I took it for a quick blast this morning before work and I might just go for another ride tonight, would be rude not too.
Initially I didn’t like the front tyre choice as it was rubbish in the mud, but its proved a good choice for dry forest single track.

    Nice that.
I did that same experiment with my sovereign as a 69er, with has now progressed to a fat front
It is being replaced with a Chumba HX1 as I wanted something lighter
I have ridden the peaks and the like and it rules

    Rigid bikes rock
