Swapped the On-One carbons on my Inbred to some Singular Swift steel rigids & really like them. More give than the carbon forks. Nearly twice the weight though, but can't say I notice it on the bike. Always wondered what the Niner 853 steel forks would be like, but they are pricey.
Both are 470mm & sit at about the height of a sagged 80/90mm suspension fork.Posted 4 months ago # -
Slows the handling a little (assuming similar length).
Got Niner Carbons on my Superfly SS - love it!
Go for something with a similar offset (44mm AFAIR) and it'll be fine.

The new Pace 29er fork comes with 50mm offset

there used to be a bonty carbon fork with G2 offset - finding one could be a trick though...
