Trying to keep my new build pretty light so although I’d love to go for the Niner, my budget might not stretch, so what’s the best alternative?

I’d keep an eye out for a set of secondhand Niner forks.
They seem to come up fairly often on eBay for £200 or so.

Exotic are excellent value and v good for the price. Swift fork has a nicer feel IME but not light.

Everyone seems to rave about the Niner carbon but jeez it’s pricey.

Heard iffy reports re Hylix, etc. The Kinesis ones look a bit ugly IMO and the On-One carbon one is a monstrosity.

I traded lightness for aceness and got a Swift fork

I have one of the old Swift forks* sitting the shed that you could have for £30 plus p and p. if it is any help.

I really like my white bros rock solids, if I was buying now I’d go for syncros fls.

Exotic carbons on here, I like them, not too harsh on big roots etc. not too flexy either, i am using a 2.4 Chunky monkey up front as well.
