  • Rights of way? how to reinstate one?

I've found a road marked on a 19th century map of my local area. Its through a nice wood that I enjoy (cheekily) cycling around. It would be a great link between a current bridleway and another road, and there is a clear continuation of the ancient road, at a junction.

Isn't there some society or something that tries to reinstate these? I heard there were new rules about how this happens, and that there was a strict cut off, (you had to put forward any ideas for ROW in the next 10 years or something.

Not sure if I am that fussed about it enough to make all the effort on my own, but it would be a nice thing to happen if it was possible.

    Any advice?

if you are interested it is between these points on google map
