Only ridden it once and was led by a riding buddy from that neck of the woods. We didn’t come down the same way we went up. He took us off to the left which ran parallel to the climb but in the trees, then back up to the top and off to the right and all the way to the bottom. Vague I know but there are that many tracks/FP’s it’s easy to miss one or end up at the bottom very quickly.

We also took in some woods on the way from his and again on the way back. Think from memory we covered about 18 mile of which maybe 4 was Tarmac.

Was it worth it – well we had a right giggle.

    Hope that helps

There are a few routes. You can go up the main path then once you are at the top by the trig point carry on down the other side. The decent is pretty steep and rutted these days. There also used to be a downhill starting just past the transmitter tower on the Wellington side but it has been blocked off afaik. Perhaps the best way is to ride down the way you came up then at the right hand bend just before the half way house turn left and follow that trail for about 400mtr and then look for some trails on the right through some bracken which bring you down to the road. There is also a trail taking you around the Wrekin too and the descent from the little Wrekin was also fun. Don’t forget the Ercall either which has some fun trails hidden in there but be careful as it is not strictly legal.
