Rode one of our regular evening rides the “wrong” way round tonight. Always surprising how different and interesting it feels.

Also meant we stopped at a different pub two miles from home instead of the usual. Doubled their customers numbers. Never heard of Sharps Sea Fury before but it’s a cracking pint. And pork pies. There was a fair bit of mental route reversal going on round the table so we can get there more often.

The Old Black Horse in Mapperley village, for all the people on here that ride near Ilkeston btw.

I can neither confirm or deny….or condone, riding round a (very deserted) trail centre.
I’d speculate it may be more interesting than the normal way…theoretically.

Unless you’ve genuinely never got bored of your local loops then definitely worth doing. Unless it’s a deserted trail centre of course in which case it’s utterly abhorrent.

Any ride involving pork pies and beer is clearly a winner.
