I’m racing at Wasing Park for the nationals in a few weeks on the Saturday. I’m also going to be hanging around whilst a friend races on the Sunday. Apart from the course itself, is there much riding in the area? Debating if I should bring a road / CX bike as well to keep me entertained on Sunday?

Very little immediately nearby, but depending how much time you have then nearest best place for off-road is across the valley to Bucklebury common area and the woods/bridleways/byways. Plenty of trails there.

There are a fair few unofficial trails on Crookham/Greenham common, but it might take a while to find them so prob not the best option.
