Wow. Hooked and converted. Well until winter.

Feel etc- all improved using ODI grips. Rode down Jacobs Ladder with zero slipping on the rear brake lever.

knowing Hora he probably hacked his fingers down to bloody stumps, tired of fettling forks he's now turned his attention to his own body to make those all important adjustments.

I assume he will be changing his bike to something more appropriate to his new amputation based style…..

Why not just hack your head off and kick it down Jacobs Ladder, feel the wind in your hair etc..

I always used to ride gloveless until i got wiped out by a mate and the gravel rash on my hands wasn't pretty. Still ride gloveless where its sensible to do so. Onza Ules for grips

NOOOOOO! one of the first things to hit the ground is your hands.OUCH!
I could never ride without gloves though I do ride without knee pads.
Does that make me a Hypocrite?

I never ride fingerless, let alone gloveless – the consequences of stacking, and the general annoyance of spiky foliage where I am make it not worth it.

Mind you, I'm not a northerner with nothing but barren and windswept moors.

I thought about the falling but then I always roll, tuck in. I never put my hands out due to the collar-bone worry. Even when Ive washed out fast/unexpected I've landed on my shoulder/back.

The last time I went over the bars (guisburn)- I landed on my forearm.

Sure? I thought that at first but I use ODI Ruffin's-really sticky in the heat and seem to have deep channels for 'sweat-release'?!!

They're your hands. I personally prefer to keep the protective coating (skin) on mine so wear gloves when i'm riding.

Is this the next fad? (not having a go hora – honest 😉 ) but I saw at the Fort William world cup that some tool was riding without gloves on in the DH.

I wouldnt ride DH without gloves but look at it this way just how much protection do bicycle gloves give you? They will not prevent dislocation or breaks. Unless you have knuckle protection (and even if you do) they will only provide soo much protection. Thorns? No way would most of them prevent thorns getting in.

My gloves fall apart quite easily around the stitching/glue(?)- unless you wear substantial gloves the only other benefit is to stop gravel rash/rips from supermanning' and sliding along the floor on the palms of your hands.

I ride without gloves, and compared the damage you get to hands climbing gritstone, falling off a bike and getting gravel rash is nowt you big jessies 😉

I rarely ride without gloves – doesn't feel right

I am surprised how many people ride in forests etc without glasses though

Guess its a similar reaction for people who try driving with/without shoes.

I am surprised how many people ride in forests etc without glasses though

    Agree on that. Definitely.

You fell off halfway down Chapel Gate!!!

That was steering straight into the side of the earth bank! 😆
