I just getting back into riding after a few years failing miserably at trail running, but I’m struggling to think of much that is still good to ride in the winter.

Any other locals have any suggestions for well draining trails?

I’m car-less, which makes it a little difficult, and the only trail center that seems to be accessible by train is Gisburn.

Unless it’s icy then most of the trails in the Dales are pretty weather proof. Train to Skipton then any stations along the Settle-Carlisle line.

all hold up well in winter, especially Cottingley and the chevin

Where is this riding you speak of in Cottingley?

Is Chevin just the big fire tracks?

The chevin (forest park) has lots of little paths and trails tucked away. Have a segment browse around that area on strava.
