Where and how did mark hurt himself, very sobering to think you leave for a social ride and cone home in a wheelchair.

.Mountain biker critical after Grizedale Forest fall The man had to be stabilised before he could be moved
A 31-year-old man is in a critical condition after coming off his mountain bike in Cumbria.
The cyclist, from Cheshire, suffered serious head, neck and back injuries during the fall in Grizedale Forest.
He was taken by air ambulance for treatment at James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough where he is "critically ill".
A spokesman for the Great North Air Ambulance Service said the man had to be stabilised before he could be moved.
What I meant was where in the forest.
As far as I know, it was on the North Track and only seconds before the end of the ride. Betty.
Release from hospital on dec 12th? Wow that's a lot of time in hospital, hope he is making a good recovery.
Somehow I've missed this thread until now. What an amazing mentality and positivity he has. Not read full blog yet, just skimmed but nonetheless in total awe. Hope he enjoys the games, a much deserved treat. Will read the blog on my next wet day at the office.
Here's the latest progress report..... simply astounding.
Mark is doing ReMarkably well, even getting in and out cars on his own.

Really good news,thanks Betty.
Yay - Keep the positives vibes rolling
Great news after all this time!
Best wishes to Mark, may he continue to progress well!
Reading through the blog. Please pass on my thoughts to Mark.
I was in hospital for a tenth of the time but still remember welling up when I got home and watched the dogs playing.
Never doubt the power of positive thought.
All the best for the future.
It's almost twelve months since Mark's accident. Progress is slow but
he is doing..... well, Re-Mark-able.
He is still in a positive frame of mine and working hard on building a new life for himself on two wheels that are side by side rather than two wheels one behind the other.
There is to be a Cycle Challenge starting on 7th June to help raise fund for him and for the Air Ambulance Service. If you've got a couple of bob to spare and would like to make a donation please visits Mark's blog for more news and details.
Thanks to all Betty the Blog
Amazing progress in just a year. Also inspired enough that we now have a direct debit every month with NW air ambulance.
Has Mark seen the proper off road handcycles for unassisted singletrack both up and downhill? Some links below.
