  • Revelation vs Float 140 stiffness?

Looking at a new fork for my BFe to be run at 140mm. Currently have a Pike 454 which is lovely and stiff but a bit lardy.

So, either thinking about a Revelation RCT3 lowered to 140mm or a Float FiT Factory 140mm – which would give the better stiffness?

I’d say the rev will be smoother on low speed bumps and also really good well into its travel where as the Fox tends to be very firm on low speed and then comes alive when things get tough. depends on what you ride. even a shock that’s great rated might be poor for your type of riding

Revelation is a fair bit stiffer than the Fox 32, at 140mm. Neither is as stiff as a Pike though.

I had the fox float 140 and couldn’t get on with them at all. Flexed like hell and poor compression. Bought Revs dual air and they were great, much much stiffer and tuned in perfect within one ride. Really regret getting rid of the Revs now. I wouldn’t touch the Fox Floats again though

Cheers guys – think I’m fairly set on a pair of Revs.
