Sorry its not the best of pictures, but will the fork have any type of lockout. GF wants to use it for a forthcoming road tour with a trailer.

No. Looks like a rockshox Quadra, elastomer sprung, preload adjust only, probably 50mm travel.

It won't move enough to be a hindrance, I really wouldn't worry.

What he said. They may not move much anyway!

No lockout or damping – they have spring preload adjustment only – but at that age, most have rotten elastomers so it'll barely work anyway 🙂

    RS Quadra 21R ……. MMMM.

Bobbing whilst climbing will be the least of your worries 😆

I ran a pair of Quadra 10's BITD. A whole 48mm of travel ……. in summer only 😆

In winter they became a rigid fork 😯

Yeah they hardly moved when they were "current"!
I had some in 96- they would freeze and seize up in cold or wet weather.
I actually replaced the elastomers in them with some cheap coil springs and poured some oil in each leg for "damping". It was a bit like riding with 2 very small pogo sticks attached to the front
    58mm travel IIRC
They'll be fine for road touring

Thought the yellow ones were Indy SL's In which case leave in fridge overnight so the elastomers freeze and hey presto rigids.

Yea look like Indy SL's to me too. Had some as my first forks with a whopping 63mm of stiff travel.
