So the bearings in my shimano bb are shot. The problem is the cups are seized in and are only going to come out in pieces. I read a topic a while ago now about replacing just the bearings in the cups. Is this still possible and if so how?

    TIA

It depends on the cups I think- I swapped a set in an XTR, IIRC, it wasn’t too much bother (though the enduro bearings I bought were utter shite, by the way) but others I’ve looked at have different cup designs that would make it much harder to get the bearings out.

It’ll be hard to do in place unless you’ve got a proper bearing puller.

I used to but now don’t bother when you can get them so cheap from merlin etc.
