Anyone found any LED bulbs to replace G4 halogen capsules?

    I’ve tried a couple.

    This style was underpowered:

and the SMD version were too fat to go into the glass light fitting

Ideally I want 10-15 watt equivalent power, and physically no bigger at tall than the halogen capsules.
    Any recommendations?

Could always try theLEDHut if you haven’t already. They are very good at taking things back when they don’t fit (again) 😀

Philips do some. Not cheap, I think they are around £14 each!

I am also not sure how powerful they are but all the other Philips LED’s I have tried have been very good.

I had a light with very narrow glass tubes, found some very narrow ones on amazon that fit… Just. I ordered one to try it, i’ll see if I can find them in my back orders…… Hang on!

was the one I got 10mm diameter, although a quick amazon search found some at 9.5mm and cheaper in packs of 5 or 10
