    Hi all,

My drop bar cx/commuter has tektro lyra cable discs, the front caliper has a seized pad adjuster thingy, winter having taken its toll. It will not budge despite my best butchery this morning in an attempt to get to work without resorting to the car. Obviously it’s now beyond saving, and replacements appear to be about 45 quid, which seems steep, does anyone know of an alternative cable pull disc caliper? have tektro released a new version that might be cheaper? or could I buy a totally new lever/caliper and all for the same money?

    Thanks for your help!

Cheap enough to be almost disposable after a salty winter.

Am I right to assume that it doesn’t really matter what brand caliper I stick on, as long as its mechanical, 160mm and front, it should work? Do these have top pull or bottom pull going on?
