  • Replacement SRAM X0 chain rings or change to new Shimano chainset

OK, so – left it way too long to change my chain and it appears now I’m paying the price; new cassette required as you’d expect, but having major problems with chain suck and general shifting up front – and on inspection, looks as though chain rings need replacement as well….

…. have searched high and low and can’t find direct replacements for my 2×10 chain rings (39/26), so appears my only option is a new chainset and at 250 of my finest English pounds…. I’m not massively enthusiastic about that.

Appears a complete Shimano 2×10 XT chainset can be had at a pretty good price in comparison; but am wondering whether there may be any sort of problem/compatibility issue running an XT chainset with everything else is SRAM X0.

    Any guidance?

    Cheers!

    Try these. Truvativ chainrings

Not cheap for the big ring, but they are the ones you need.

I put the big one on my X0 chainset recently. Chain suck is often caused by worn front rings, and is worse with a new chain.
