On my Hope mini disc’s I want to do a disc swap

But hope discs are 145/165/185

Would using cheaper disc’s 140/160/180mm be ok because they are only 2.5mm smaller in radius??

Any othere cheapskates tried smaller discs and were they ok

How close do your pads get to the outer edge of the disc at the moment? My avids are within a mm of the disc edge, so taking 2.5mm off the disc radius will mean the pad will overlap the edge and cayse it to wear with a step.

You could use a calliper adaptor for your proposed disc sizes, but that adds to the cost. There must be alternative rotors the right size which are cheap enough?

CP good point about the caliper adaptor but I do not have post mount brakes
I will have a good look at the pad position prior to replacing
