need to replace the BB on my rocky mountain altitude. it’s currently a raceface x type one and i was wondering if i could replace it with a Shimano XT one?

Yes any shimano HT2 BB will be ok as will Hope, chris king etc. You can replace the bearings too if your into that.

Yep just knock the old ones out with a drift and press new 6805 bearings in with a headset press or homemade press with the old bearings as guides simples.

yup replaced them on my x type the other day. enduro ones.
