Got a bit wayward with the spanners at the weekend and gashed my Float X.

Anyone replaced one of these? it “looks” fairly easy, but I’m not sure if by doing so I’ll be delving into the bit that’s filled with Nitrogen.

Its a bit more involved with the Float X.. and yes you will need to delve into the nitrogen charged area of the shock..

    Fox Float X service guide

This guide uses an andreani machine (cost: £LOTS) to eliminate any trapped air in the damping oil when filling..

i think there must be a way of bleeding the air out without an andreani.. probably involving large syringes.. but ive yet to find a guide..

I have a brand new in my spares box if you haven’t paid for one & want something a bit cheaper – it’s no use to me any more.
