    What methods are people using to repair a sidewall hole/cut in non-UST tyres used in a tubeless setup with sealant? Tube patches? glueless patches or which other ‘proper’ solution?

    this is a good long term solution;

    just make sure you’ve got any latex/etc off the inside of the tyre.

    From my experience (Maxxis Aspen)once the side wall is compromised on a tyre running tubeless slap a patch on the inside and retire it to tube only duties.

    Not much use when you don’t have any bikes that run tubes… 😉

    Indeed, that’s why my Aspens are hanging uselessly in my garage, well they were until the removal men took them away this morning.

    wwaswas’s tubeless patches are much like tube ones but don’t stretch, they work pretty well, though for a long rip I’d stitch it first too.

    I’ve reparied a few usng either the sticky slug things (1 was rubbish & 1 worked) and a thick patch (worked for a whieel then started to bulge). To summarize, mine were a short term fix.

    I use these but if you dont want to spend any money (and you already have superglue) use a piece of innertube and some superglue to patch it, remember to use some sandpaper to prep. Also these:

    Are awesome if you get a puncture whilst out and about and want a fix without taking your wheel/tyre off.
