Going camping in Islay with the kids later in July, and since bicycles go free on the ferry, was hoping to save a big chunk of change by leaving the car on the mainland. The kids aren’t quite ready to carry their own kit (although they should be taught that camping rule soon!), so wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to rent some sort of bike trailer in the Glasgow/Edinburgh area?

I know somewhere in Inverness you can hire a BOB. Delivery to/from you might be a bit costly though.

Beyond Adventure in Aberfeldy have a fleet of them. If they are not on DofE trips, they may rent them.
