Si I decided today at last to set about striping my old orange p7 with a view to rebuilding at as a winter project.
Stripped it all down then moved on to the chainset. Last time it was in the bike shop, a few years ago, the guy tried to remove the chainset to replace the bb and the drive side crank bolt was seized in place, which ended up with a slightly rounded bolt.
Anyway I knew this was going to give me an issue. Non drive side crank arm came off fine. Tried drilling out the bolt and but even with a new drill bit I'm still not getting very far. Apart from keep drilling, any other suggestions? Oh and the threads are stripped on the crank arm so even when I get the bolt out getting the cranks off will be an issue. Could I be in a position where I just can't get the cranks/bb out and the frame is scrap.
Oh I have an angle grinder btw.
