My partner has managed to drip bright red candle wax onto her towelling dressing gown and having dried is proving very resistant to removal (it certainly hasn’t come out in the wash). Are there any tricks or tips for removing/dissolving candle wax from clothing that we might try?

I stood in a floor candle wearing a light coloured 4 hour old pair of suede(ish) Merrels. Damn.
Never found a solution to get it out 🙁

Candle wax on a wool coat a few years ago. Thought it was for the bin.

I’ve done this loads, only with kitchen roll instead of brown paper. Knocked a candle over onto the carpet not so long ago and it came out perfectly.

Turn the steam off though (-:

Just tell her she’ll have to get dressed properly when she goes down the shops for your fags…

The brown paper and iron seems to have done the trick, thank you.
