Any bodges, or is it resort to buying a bearing puller?

Unlike the other hubs I have done, they have a neat internal spacer that is preventing the old Hope pop a socket on end of extension in a wallop it trick…

The end caps have been tough enough – alloy end cap, alloy retaining ring all pressed directly into hub shell. Tight as a gnats chuff, easy to mark the alloy.

I’ve done a 20mm WTB hub before, not sure if it was the ‘Super’ duty one but it’s easy. The end caps came off easy by just inserting a 20mm dowel just into the ends and a bit of leverage pops them out. I then put a thin square edged punch through one side onto the other bearing and started knocking it out carefully, once it starts moving that aluminium spacer/sleeve will move out the way and you can easily get another larger punch/small socket in there.

It’s that initial move of the first bearing I’m struggling with.

I recall just whacking them out with a screwdriver. The spacer dropped a few mm.
