Anyone advise on removing the 12mm adaptor from the cassette side of the oozy wheels to replace it with the QR one? The non drive side came away easily by hand but the other is solid. There is a slot for a spanner, which none of mine fit, is it threaded on??

    Cheers

Yes, it’s threaded on. Mine was really difficult to get off, until I used a squirt of GT85 to un-stick it. There is a slot on the non-drive side to stop the axle turning while you unscrew the drive side.

Cheers st66, what did you use to lock the slot?

I used the edge of a cone spanner because it was thin enough to hold in the slot.

Thanks again st66. It was fairly tight and needs a good hold on the slot, I used useless metal tyre lever that I had in the tool box and i had to use pipe grips on the adaptor. I needs a good crack to free it off and needed to file the burr left on the non drive side before fitting the other adaptor.

    Cheers
