yes its not what they advise but you can see the bubbles rising out in the lever
As air is lighter you get a better bleed IMHO and ts quicker and easier but you need the pads out and the caliper off the bike. Some will leak from the bleed but its not that important – clean up afterwards and makes sure its off paintwork.
SOme argue its not good for the seals to do this but I have always done it this way and never had an issue personally – you need the pads out and a caliper wedge or you will just shoot your pistons out.
Essentially attach a tube as you do to bleed as per Hope but put a syringe on that, open bleed port 1/4 turn – Squeeze.
Another syringe to collect what comes up.
Stop when the bubbles top / you have flushed it. 50 ml of fluid is more than enough to achieve this and some.
Very quick once you have got to the point you can do this
