Anything any good around Redesdale Forest. Will be in Byrness and hopefully will go out for a 1-2hr ride. Plan to explore and see whats there, but just wondered if theres any good spots?

I know Kielder and the trails there are close but want to stick close to Byrness

It has been ages since I was at Bryness but it is mostly fireroad from what I can remember in the valley. You can take the toll road shortcut to Kielder and then cycle including the deadwater trails. The otterburn ranges are on the northern side. Maybe some cheeky stuff and trails seem to be fair game in Northumberland as there are so few people. The other thing would be to drive over the border and tackle the Cheviots from that side.
