    Just finished my commuter build of my old GT frame and spares. It'll be solely used for commuting, wondering what mudguards people would recommend – for 26" wheels. Also I'm thinking about using a rack (it has mounts).

    Cheap & cheerful & hard wearing please!

    Halfords do some decent guards that are just as good as aything else and a bit cheaper – £30ish.

    For racks and stuff try Tescos. Seriously. We bought some panniers from there which were bloody good for the money, and IIRC they had racks too. 🙂
