No complaints with dhb shorts. Have several sets for comuuting as they are (relatively) cheap as chips and have been surprised at how comfy and durable they are for the money.

If you have a decathlon near by then their bib mtb shorts are good.

Check aldi and lidl, they have crane stuff periodically and it often hangs around for quite a while after it has been part of their weekly specials. Far better quality than the price would lead you to believe.
