I am hoping to start building a few small jumps/ kickers and having a general tidy up on my local trails. With the dark evenings and rain almost upon us, I thought it ideal time to go to work on trails.

All I have in my pack are standard-issue secateurs, what else will I need? I have a fold-out shovel but not sure if that’s the best approach.

Any advice/ links/ examples greatly appreciated.

Corona folding saws are great, especially as they are a fraction of the price of some of the pro brands.

Otherwise, compact tools aren’t really ideal. There is a reason that the full size versions are as big as they are…

I’ve got a couple of these and they’re great for trail work.
