As title, my rear end is getting numb after about an hour and half so going to try some better shorts followed by a new saddle

Castelli ones look good but pricy, any other options?

    Cheers

Lusso do some nice ones. Carbon something or anothers…..

The mid-range and upwards dhb ones are supposed to be good too. I’ve got the bottom of the range ones and they’re OK for short rides, but the Lusso ones blow them out of the water (twice the price though).

A mate of mine uses Funkier ones and raves about them….

Just bought some Howies bibs after recommendations on here. They only do 2 sizes (sm/med and lg/xl) but they feel very different in a good way to normal lycra. Very pleased, although an in-between size would be great.

I’ve just brought the top of the range Decathlon B-Twin ones £49.99

I didn’t notice them at all over the weekend, which means they did a great job and you can try them in store to get the right fit, which is very important.

The dhb Goldline were well reviewed by road.cc recently, though Wiggle are currently out of stock.

I’ve got the dhb Aeron Pro which seem to strike a good balance between comfort/performance and price. The pad isn’t as comfy as the one in my Assos FI.Mille shorts, but they were about 40% of the cost. I use the Aeron Pro’s for commuting and short-ish rides (sub-2h) and the Assos for longer.

Don’t forget that Castelli are cut for the pro cyclist physique…people often say ‘go a size up’ but in my experience they just get longer but no wider…great if you’re built like a beanpole! dhb and the like tend to be a little more forgiving.

Thanks Whathaveisaidnow, I will have a look in Decathlon
