Can be classical, folks, spanish, whatever really. Fairly chilled but not cheesy easy listening.

    Cheers.

Grizzly Man soundtrack by Richard Thompson.

EDIT: not all that acoustic, but very mellow!

Currently listening to Xuefei Yang's album '40 Degrees North'. There's some fairly standard but very nice classical Spanish and some interesting guitar pieces with a Chinese flavour. Not everyone's cup of tea but good for me 🙂

Steve Morse's most mellow album, High Tension Wires. A few non-acoustic bits to watch out for, particularly the ludicrous fretboard workout of Tumeni Notes which alternately makes me cry and want to give up playing or strive to be a better player. Typically I strive to be a better player and end up crying.

I saw Nils Lofgren a couple of years ago ina little club, seemed to be playing an acoustic through all sorts of effects. Very, very good (if not a little fretwanky)

Steve Hackett: Bay Of Kings. Lovely album, Hackett is a very distingtive guitarist, instantly recognisable from Gabriel-era Genesis.
[edit] Momentum is very similar and followed a year or so after. There may be others as well, but he's quite prolific and I'm not sure what style other albums are.[/edit]

How about a complete unknown? I work with this guy and his music is pretty amazing for amateur. He works really hard and has a CD of self compositions due out any day… http://www.adamjameswakeling.co.uk/music.html

Bullet – Just took a punt on your recommendation – Gone for "Dark Times"
(I like occasional musical meanderings into unknowns)

Couldn't get the 'buy now' button to work in Firefox – Had to use IE …Oh…the shame 😉
