Can anyone recommend me a posh hotel near brecon or going as far north as elan valley? Preferably somewhere with a spa and treatments (see my cunning plan below). Like a squirrel with its conkers, I could dot the map out with a whole load of quality B&B's that I've enjoyed over the years, but I'm lost when it comes to anything fancier.
Looking to take the missus for a localish break over easter. She's a bit of a city girl, so I'd love to take her to South/Mid Wales and show her that there's a whole world of the great outdoors just waiting to be sampled. I will of course use it as an opportunity for a quick pootle if she decides to hit the spa! 
Of course, my usual criteria of "cheap as chips, working radiator and bike washing facilities" just ain't gonna cut it for this particular escapade as I would like her to enjoy the experience and do it again. I shall then slowly, but subtly take her to ever more downmarket accomodation as she adjusts to life outside of her urban cocoon until in the end our weekends away will be all about bothy's, bivi's and MTB mags for bog roll.
