Just shelled out on new headset bearings thinking they were buggered due to a funny ticking clicking coming from front end that has turned out to be a out of warranty pike with loose CSU interface! Yay! 700€ down the drain and two years use!

Anyway, what should I get to replace them?

Options:

Second hand Fox 36s for 700€
Another Pike (fool me once and all that)
Formula 35s (they look quite tasty and I like that they are italian even though they are probably made in PRC like everything else)
Manitou Mattock Pro (they get good reviews but I’ve never seen anyone with one)
Suntour Durolux (same as the mattock)

Experiences would be good.
