What do people recommend as a music player for a nexus 5 ? …. really dont like the google play one ?

Poweramp is if not the default response at least a very popular one. I use it, it’s excellent. Give that a go.

I’ve just had a nosey and it’s a shame you can’t get the walkman app that comes on Sony phones as that is bloody ace. (this doesn’t help)

PowerAmp is very good, I use it all the time.

The walkman app is also very polished. A quick search of the xda forums found this if you want to download teh apk and install it

I tend to use bubbleupnp to play stuff on the NAS, works well.
Also have shuttle or vanilla music installed just in case.

Another Power Amp user here. Can’t fault it.

Powwramp and unlock it. Good for lyrics too if you wanna sing along.

Double twist v good too, simple and easy to use.

That Walkman ap is nice. I tend to use vlc most of the time.
