I’m after a gilet to wear when warming up for cx races and for standing around on the start line waiting to go. I don’t really want a mesh back as I won’t be cycling properly in it and assume it would be too cold when waiting around. Max £50, waterproof would be nice but not essential

If Start have any of the Scott warm gilets in your size they are great, one of the best bits of kit I own. Think they are called minus or Celsius. Paid 15 or 20 quid for mine a few years back

I have one of the heavier dhb gilets for commuting, not bad bid of kit

Uniqlo ultra light down, probably best if you can try one on though as there sizing can be funky sometimes

If it’s for warm up and standing about but not riding in, consider a montane prism vest or something similar with pertex and primaloft. Windproof, moderately warm and still warm when soaked through. I have the jacket version and love it.
