I looking for a compact camera so as my Father doesn’t have to lug his heavy DSLR & kit when he is out walking. He normally takes still photos when out walking in the mountains so something with a decent zoom and good clarity & colour are the main priorities. He doesn’t tend to use many of the other functions. I’m happy with my Sony dsc-hx9 but this seems to be discontinued. A quick google suggest the Panasonic TZ40 seems to get good reviews. Any help or advice appreciated!
