They’re needed to drown out the noise of thousands of p1ssed up karaoke scousers, all night raves and so on.

It’s an alright site, cheap, facilities are okay but it’s a bit lively..

Is that the one down on the lakeside on the way in from torver? If so, I’d echo al2000’s sentiments. We stayed at the national trust one by torver, which was VERY basic, but cheap and quiet. Had a pedal through the one on the lake on the way to grizedale, and it was like bloody chatsworth estate!.

Go to the pub, have a few drinks and sleep through the noise. We pay them back by getting up early to ride bikes.

    Been there once.
    probably not again.
al2000 hit the nail on the head there.

I had about 4/5 pissed up tossers snapping live tree branches next to me at 2am wanting to burn them.
Needless to say the blackened branches were unburned next to the fire the following morning.
    Geniuses. 🙄

The site itself is fine, just rammed with idiots. LOTS OF IDIOTS.
If you still decide to go there, camp at the end nearest the farm. All the parties happen at the far end of the site.
