    Please.

Need a new one and wondering if there is much difference between them and if anyone has anything they’d recommend.

    Thanks.

There’s only one – Bialetti Moka Express 😉

Millions of Italians cant be wrong. I’m still using one that was passed on to me by my father that was originally my nonnas – must be 40-50 years old.

The classic Bialetti is fine. Or any of the cheap copies.

Unless you’re using an induction hob, because you’ll need a stainless steel version. The Bialetti Venus is nice.

Brilliant, thanks people I’ll order a Bialetti.

Getting annoyed with the variability of my current stove top.

Stainless steel Bialetti, just a much nicer piece of kit than the aluminium ones.

Getting annoyed with the variability of my current stove top.

If it’s clean and the seal is good then there really isn’t much more to it.

Probably more an issue with variability in the beans, grind, distribution and tamp.

i accept that i may be mistaken, by my own wishful thinking.

but my stainless steel bialetti seems to make less-bitter coffee than the aluminium one it replaced.

    1) don’t tamp
    2) turn off the gas before the coffee ‘gurgles’ – this water has boiled, and it’ll taste bitter/burnt.
    3) it’s crap like this that makes coffee endlessly fascinating.

yep, i turn off the gas when the first coffee starts to flow

I’m interested in trying the new stove top with 9 bar pressure
