As per the title I am looking for a swish hotel close to a south Wales trail centre so that I can take mrs ti_pin_man there while I go biking. It's my attempt at remind myself of technical trail riding which I don't get much of based in London village. Needs to be a trail centre as i dont want the hassle of map reading or navigation, just a show up and ride weekend to remind myself about techie trails. Any ideas?

Also St David's Spa Hotel in Cardiff Bay
Convenient enough for Cwmcarn and Afan and a load more riding around there.

As LoCo says, if you want to spoil her then drop her off at the Celtic Manor - hope she's worth it! - and then shoot off down the M4 to Cwmcarn or Afan/Glyncorrwg

Stayed at St Davids Spa Hotel last year - very nice Spa and gym.
Only a bus ride from the city centre as well for shopping for the Mrs. Hold onto the credit cards though, the new John Lewis is very well stocked with lady gifts and trinkets...
Cwm Carn is prolly 30 mins drive and Afan about an hourish
