As a present for the love of my life.

She already has a stainless steel ladies Seiko Five, so not something stainless, and while I’m at it not gold.

Minimalist but still practical (ie no completely blank faces where you look at the watch and guess the time).

Thinking £500 to just over a grand (partly because that’s the budget but also because she’d never wear a watch out places that cost much more than a grand) but within that a watch that looks and feels classy is more important than price.

Quite like some of the black ceramic Rado stuff.

My daughter has one of these Tissot

Couple of years old now, worn everyday and keeps good time, hers is stainless, but think they do them with a black face too

In what respect would a watch not be automatic?

Womens watches are about the bling not the movement, so don’t get too worried looking for an auto that may not exist.

Have you thought about second hand vintage watches. I got my wife a 1969 Omega Constellation for £600. It came with a 2 year warranty.

My wife is more quiet sophistication, mountain bikes and snowboards than bling.

    Second hand is interesting.
