    Hello,

I want to buy my aunt a bike basket for Christmas. It is for fitting on her hybrid bike. She had a big wire one but it was pushing all the cables to the side and ruining the gear indexing (as well as wearing through the outer).

Can anyone recommend a good basket that is neither wire nor wicker that will fit better between the cables, not cost too much and look good.

I would suggest this, but it seems to be out of stock everywhere.

However, it would be worth emailing charlie for an ETA.

You’re approaching this from the wrong direction. Di2 electronic shifting is what’s required. 😀

those PDW baskets are awesome. I bought one from charlie for ‘er indoors. Solid, lighter than it looks. only down sides are that the light mounts are on the wrong side and the clamp is a bit ugly.

Something a little cheaper and simpler…

Basket comes off easily and quickly – bought for my wifes – about town – bike.

Not waterproof but you can easily add a dry bag or two.

One that mounts on a rear rack?

Or the same rack with panniers…

These are just examples – other brands are available.
