    28"ish, decent picture, that's all I care about.

    Get a Samsung, good quality picture and very easy to use menus. They are one of the few makes who actually make the screens themselves. Sound can be a bit pants but plug it into a surround system.

    Sony Bravia W series. 100Hz, motionflow blah blah blah. Best picture quality of any tele and you can trade in your old tele at loads of places for a new Sony bravia.

    We pretty much exclusively use Panasonics at work now & I have a couple at home too – can't fault them TBH

    get a crt on ebay for about 30 or 40 quid. unless you're watching HD broadcasts a lot the current new tvs are a lot of money for a poorer picture.
