the transmitter on my old (well over 10 years) polar hr monitor has failed, tried replacing the battery but no joy, and a new transmitter is 28quid minimum.

looking around i can get an all new polar with the same functions for 29quid (fs2c), or one with more functions for 35quid (fs3c) and so on – 45 would seem to buy me one witrh bpm display in % as well which seems a good idea.

i don't know much about hr monitors really, hence only looking at polar. it'll be used primarily on my indoor trainer, very rarely when running.

can anyone recommend something in the 30 – 40quid range. just need basic functions but bpm as a % would be good, not fussed at all about calories, and within that range are there any bike ones that start to get cadence meters?
