Two wheels
Race Co cycles
Leisure lakes (Wolvo)

& On Your Bike (Brum)all fufilled a need I had at the time, but were spoiled for choice my way and haven't even tried Fred William, who a friend throughly recommends.

Freewheel in Nottingham have always done me proud, especially for servicing - not cheap, but good.
For purchasing, Evans in Nottingham have a huge amount in stock and will pricematch on the spot. Surprisingly good advice and guidance given the rep as well.

Two Wheels in Stourbridge
Race Co in StourbridgeBoth have been very good to me in the past and I would reccommend both to anyone in the area.

Brixton Cycles.
In err, Brixton.
lovely bunch of lads and ladeeys and the odd celebrity customer.
Specialists right through the field - Mountain, commuter, fixie, road, BMX, Skate and even wierd oldies.
A great antidote to the corporate Evans' and Cycle Surgeries out there.

Garage Bikes in Morley, Leeds.
More a workshop than a shop shop (although spares are available!)
Finally found someone I trust to repair my bike!

Bicycle Smithy in Hazel Grove, on the A6 as you leave Manchester heading for the Peak District. Jon's a top lad and has seen me right on many occasions

I agree with TJ (which is weird) but The Bike Chain are the mutts nuts...

Bike Scene Guisbrough, usefull for those odds and ends that aren't worth waiting for/saving 50p on from CRC.
Pricing on other stuff is OK too, although no lightweight 2.35 innertubes seems a huge oversight! I'm running stretched out 2.0-2.2's as anything bigger was for DH. Bit odd as I know spesh brand some in that size/weight and thts the brand they stock.

Rayments in Brighton and Quest Adventure in Worthing. Both cracking shops.

Switchback Cycles, Knaphill (near Woking)- small shop but very helpful and keen on prices

Superb.

Streetlife Cycles, Norwich.
Great blokes, good deals for regulars, very accommodating and helpful, and they like to ride. I do sometimes wonder whether they might have signed something once that compels them to conform to the stereotype of disorganised, cluttered and slightly unreliable. I guess that's often part of the charm.

Rick Green Cycles, Handforth (South Manchester) - roadie shop. Family run. Fantastic workshop skills. (Old LBS, I've now moved)
Harry Hall, Manchester - old reputation (of rudeness) went away. Always used them as were near old work. Finally became friendly..!
Sideways Cycles, Alsager - family run. Ace niche stuff. Friendly. Great service. Not local to me, but an ace business.
Paul Hewitt, Leyland - legendary wheels. Now close to me.
Merlin Cycles - now v nearby. Have used mailorder for years.
Harry Middleton, Ormskirk - another I don't yet know, but rep is good and they have a sizeable (road) club riding from the shop.
