I’m looking for advice about a road bike, I have a genesis croix de fer that I could upgrade the wheelset and gears on, or I was thinking of going for something like this from rose bikes

Any reasons not to go for this bike, seems like a lot of kit for the money or would you just keep the Cdf and ride that as your road bike? I’m new to road biking but am riding more road due to a new baby, don’t have a lot of time for big mtb days just now.

I only have a Rose CX, but I have several friends with the road bikes. The only reason to not go for one is the lead time on them. They are very good value for money.

Personally if I had a CDF I would buy a new set of light skinny wheels and out some nice slicks on them rather than splashing out on a new bike, unless you want one that is !

That build seems very good value though

Check out Radon at bike discount.De if you’re happy with German direct sellers. Amazing value.
