Can’t make my mind up if I should fit a purgatory to the back of my 26″ FS and leave it there all winter inc trail centres and big days out, or get a storm and chop & change as required.

Front tyre is a purgatory BTW and it’s awsum, so that’s staying put.

Local riding is a muddy forest btw.

    What would you do?

They’ll both be tubeless and I have a preference for specialized tyres on the MTB’s

Spesh Ground Control looks like it’d be a better all rounder on the rear. Purgatory is too fat and not knobbly enough to be that good in the mud.

If you’re willing to look elsewhere though, may I suggest a 2.2″ UST Rubber Queen…

Rubber queen is not a good mud tyre in my experience, not nobbly enough to dig in and doesn’t clear well, as soon as its clogged up you’re screwed.

Went for the Storm, first time I’ve not been able to get a 2bliss up with a track pump though!

Little shot of CO2 required just to seat it, saying that my rims (4 yr old 355’s) aren’t exactly ding free 😉
